Everybody in the Pool!

It's all about Family, Friends and Summertime Fun at the PCH Pools!

We are very excited about the new pool complex and the future of OUR Community House. We hope that you will enjoy the summer of 2008 and will continue to support the PCH and all of the other wonderful programs that we offer to you and your family throughout the entire year.

Our Pool Complex includes:

3 New Pools completed in 2006!
All 4 pools are heated!

Membership Types

Memberships offer use of the pool during scheduled pool hours for an individual or family unit. For the purposes of this application, a family unit is defined as "Two adults and their children living in the same single family household." Extended family members such as Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, etc. must obtain their own memberships. Domestic Employees living with you are not considered part of the family unit but may be added to a family membership for an additional fee of $25.00/Person.

Members may invite guests to use the Purchase Pools for a gate fee of $5/Person on weekdays and $10/Person on weekends and holidays.
Members must be present at the pool and take responsibility for the guest.

Purchase Residents who will only use the pool occasionally may pay the appropriate guest fees of $5/Person on weekdays and $10/Person on weekends and holidays.

MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES:

A. - Purchase Residents - $375.00 (Submit application anytime before March 28, 2008.)

B. - 2008 Purchase Day Camp or 2007-08 Purchase Children's Center Program Patrons - $575.00 (Submit application anytime before March 28, 2008.)

C. - 2007 Purchase Pool Member - $900.00 (Submit application anytime before March 28, 2008.)

D. - New 2008 Purchase Pool Member - $900.00 + $350.00 New Member Initiation Fee (Submit application on or after April 2, 2008. Level D applications will be accepted if memberships are still available. Level D applications submitted prior to April 2nd at 9:00am will be processed on April 3rd at 9:15am)

Hours:

May 24 to June 29: 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM Daily (Snack bar open weekends only 12-6 PM)
June 30 to August 15: 4:15 PM to 7:30 PM Weekdays (Snack bar opens at 4:15 PM), 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM Weekends and Holidays (Snack bar opens at 11:00 AM)
August 16 to September 1: 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM Daily (Snack bar opens at 11:00 AM)

Special Openings and Closings:
On occasion, the Pool will be closed due to Purchase Day Camp TEAM Member Orientations and Camper programs. The modified pool opening & closing schedule is listed below. Times and Dates are subject to change.

Wednesday, June 11th: The Pool will be open 12:00 - 3:00 only, due to PDC New TEAM Member Workshop.
Saturday, June 21st: The Pool will be closed for the day due to PDC TEAM Wide Training.
Friday, July 25th: The Pool will be closed due to the camp "Late Night" for T-N-T, Mermaid and Barracuda campers.
Thursday, August 7th: The Pool will be closed for the day due to PDC TEAM Member BBQ.

Registration Procedures

Membership Level A, B & C may submit the Application Form before March 28th, 2008.
Membership Level D may submit the Application Form on or after April 2nd, 2008 at 9:00 AM. Level D Applications will be accepted if memberships are still available. Level D Applications submitted prior to April 2nd at 9:00 AM will be processed on April 3rd at 9:15 AM.
Providing FALSE INFORMATION will void all eligibility for Purchase Pool Membership. The Board of Directors and the Program Committee reserve the right to reqest verification of information submitted on the application.

2008 Purchase Pool Program Specials

Private Swim Lessons

ELIGIBILITY: Open to 2008 Purchase Pool Members only.
Participants must be going into Kindergarten in September 2008 or older.

PROGRAM: A private, one on one lesson lasting 1/2 hour. The lesson is geared to the swimmers ability. Private 1/2 hour swim lesson times can be arranged for weekdays and weekends from July 7th through August 9th. Instructors will be assigned based upon Lifeguard Schedules and availability. This is a limited enrollment offering.

FEES: $25 per half hour lesson.

REGISTRATION: You must fill out a private lesson registration form and have the lesson confirmed by the Community House office prior to the first lesson. Registration forms are available here and in the PCH Office. Registration forms may be submitted beginning Tuesday, May 20th.

No private lessons will be scheduled unless previously approved. Availability of Private Lessons is based upon Instructor/Lifeguard schedule and can not be guaranteed.

Private Tennis Lessons

ELIGIBILITY: Open to 2008 Pool Members and Purchase Residents. Participants must be going into Kindergarten in September 2008 or older.

PROGRAM: A private, one on one tennis lesson lasting for either a full or half-hour. Lessons are available based upon Instructor availability. Scheduled times for lessons will only be available on the following schedule. Tennis Lessons are available from Cathy Moore at the PCH Tennis Court during the times listed below. Tennis lessons on the PCH Court are not available at other times.

Pre Camp Season May 24th - June 28th Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM and 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Camp Season June 30th - August 15th Monday - Friday 4:30 PM - 6:00PM, Saturday 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Post Camp Season August 16th - September 1st - Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM and 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

FEES: $30 for a Half - Hour Lesson, $60 for a Full Hour Lesson

REGISTRATION: Complete and submit a Private Tennis Lesson Form and return it to the Community House office. The instructor will contact you to arrange dates and times for the lessons according to the above schedule.

Pool Birthday Parties

ELIGIBILITY: Open to 2008 Purchase Pool Members and Purchase Residents Only. ALL PARTICIPANTS must have completed Kindergarten and be going into First Grade or older in September 2008. Pre-K or Kindergarten children may not participate in the pool activities.

PROGRAM: One and 1/2 hours in total length. Up to one hour of water play time in the lower pool. Includes use of pavilion, playground, refrigerator, and limited sports equipment. Miniature golf available by request.

FEES: $325.00 per party, payable at time of registration.

REGISTRATION: For more information or to reserve a party date please call the Purchase Community House office beginning Wednesday, May 20th, 2008.

4:30-6:00 - June 24, 26
5:00-6:30 - July 8, 10, 22, 24

PARTY SIZE: MAXIMUM 20 PARTICIPANTS

POLICIES:

Parties are not confirmed unless patron has received an approved stamped copy of the original reservation form.

All participants must have completed kindergarten and be going into first grade or older by September.

The availability of a specific party host cannot be guaranteed.

A swim level form must be submitted prior to party approval with all participant's names and swim levels noted.

Inclement weather make up dates will be the next available Tuesday or Thursday. If unavailable, alternates provided.

The Purchase Community House provides:

Outdoor pavilion with picnic tables

20' x 60' lower pool with requested equipment (max. Depth 3.5 feet)
(45 minutes to 1 hour of pool time maximum)

Leadership for pool activity (2 lifeguards)

Use of Yubas playground (by tennis court)

White table coverings, refrigerator with freezer

Miniature golf (by request at time of booking)

You provide: All refreshments, Supplies (plates, cups, candles, etc.), Favors (optional) and clean up assistance

Suggestion: Pizza bought locally makes a great addition to parties

Adult Lap Swimming

ELIGIBILITY: Open to 2008 Purchase Pool Members or Residents. Swimmers must be at least 18 years of age.

PROGRAM: At specified times, a portion of the Upper Deep Pool will be restricted for use by adults for the purpose of lap swimming only.

TIMES:
Pre-camp from 12:00 PM till 1:00 PM
Camp Season on weeknights from 7:00 PM till 7:30 PM and weekends from 11:00 AM till 12:00 PM.
Post-camp from 12:00 PM till 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM till 7:30 PM

FEES: No charge for this program, gate fees for residents and members apply.

REGISTRATION: There is no formal registration for this program, however continuation of the program will depend upon actual usage.

A Reminder for 2008 Purchase Day Campers and Purchase Pool Patrons

During the camp season the pool opens at 4:15 PM Monday - Friday. The 4:15 opening time helps expedite the dismissal and transition from summer day camp to the opening of the Purchase Pool. It will also minimize the "Parking Spot Wrestling" that pool members have had to endure in past summers. The lower parking lot (next to the pool) is used for camper pick up until 4:15. Both the lower lot and upper lot will open at 4:15 for pool member parking.

You're thinking; "But I want to avoid the traffic on Purchase Street and get a parking spot at
the Community House so I can pick up my children from camp and go swimming at the pool"

Well, You Still Can! AND you can avoid the traffic on Purchase Street!

We will offer a "Pool Pick Up" Program on camp days until 4:45 to all Purchase Pool Members who are also Purchase Day Campers. During this time campers who are waiting for their parents to go to the pool will have a snack and juice break under our Pavilions and then play with their friends on the Volleyball Court. There's no need for you wait in traffic on Purchase Street because at 4:15 both the upper and lower lots will be open for pool members to park. The "Pool Pick Up" Program will make the transition from day camp dismissal to the opening of the pool more efficient, safer for the children, parents and TEAM members involved and give them a positive experience just like they receive at camp each and every day.

It's simple, easy and best of all it makes sense!

At 4:15, leave Your House for the Community House, park your car in either parking lot, walk to the Pavilion, sign out your children and enjoy your swim. And even more unbelievable…the "Pool Pick Up" Program will be a FREE service to all pool members who are enrolled in Purchase Day Camp.
